Beef ribs braised with potato is a perfect dish for a family or holiday dinner. <br /><br />✅ Ingredients:<br />• beef ribs – 2,6 lb / 1,2 kg <br />• potato – 2,2 lb / 1 kg <br />• onion – 12 oz / 350 g <br />• garlic – 5 cloves <br />• carrot – 4,5 oz / 130 g <br />• vegetable oil – 6 tbsp <br />• ground coriander – 1 tsp <br />• garlic powder – 1 tsp <br />• 2 bay leaves<br />• water – 3 cup / 700 ml <br />• scallion – to taste <br />• ground black pepper – ½ tsp <br />• salt – 1,5 tsp <br /><br />✅ You will need:<br />• pan Ø12 in / 30 cm with a lid <br />• carving board <br />• pan (for potato) <br /><br />Preparation: <br />1. Clean the beef ribs – remove upper membrane, rinse and dry with a paper towel. <br />2. Cut the potato into large wedges, onion into half rings, scallion into rings, carrot into small dices. <br />3. Heat a pan over high heat, add 3 tbsp of vegetable oil and lay out the ribs with the meat down. <br />4. Fry over high heat for 4-5 minutes until golden crust on both sides. <br />5. Add the onion, 1 tsp of salt and ground black pepper, reduce the heat to medium and keep frying for 5-6 minutes more, flipping the ribs and stirring the onion occasionally. <br />6. Cover with a lid and braise over low heat for 10 minutes. <br />7. Then add the water, ground coriander, dried garlic and bay leaves, stir and bring to a boil. Cover with the lid and simmer over low heat for 1,5-2 hours. <br />8. Heat a pan with 3 tbsp of vegetable oil over high heat, add the potato and fry for 4-5 minutes until golden crust, then flip and fry for another 4-5 minutes over high heat, add ½ tsp of salt, stir and switch the heat off. <br />9. Remove the bay leaves out of the pan with the beef ribs, add the fried potato, minced garlic and chopped carrot, stir, bring to a boil, cover with the lid and braise for another 25 minutes over low heat until potato readiness. <br />10. Serve the braised beef ribs and potato hot having sprinkled with the chopped scallion. <br /><br />❗️Advices: <br />1. Braise ribs with onion until readiness for 1-2 hours, it depends on meat – it should be soft and juicy. <br />2. While braising ribs, add some more water upon need. <br />3. Before adding fried potato to meat pan, taste a broth and add salt and pepper to your taste.
